At Irizar Forge, a leading industrial forging company based in Gipuzkoa (Lazkao) and part of Royal Van Beest Group, we are looking for a Maintenance Manager to join our team.

What will be your mission?

To lead the Maintenance Department, coordinating the technical team and ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of production assets, while driving continuous improvement initiatives that contribute to the competitiveness and sustainability of the business.

Job requirements

Main responsibilities

• Define, implement and oversee preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance plans, ensuring their effective execution and performance.

• Actively participate in technical interventions, providing technical expertise and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ensure the availability, reliability and performance of machinery, facilities and production infrastructure.

• Lead, organize and develop the maintenance team, allocating priorities, resources and workloads effectively.

• Identify equipment and facility renewal, upgrade and improvement needs.

• Coordinate and supervise external suppliers, contractors and service providers involved in maintenance activities and auxiliary services.

• Ensure compliance with technical, regulatory, safety and environmental requirements.

• Work closely with Production and other departments to reduce downtime, improve processes and maximize equipment availability.

• Participate in machinery, facility and industrial layout implementation, modification and improvement projects.

• Manage costs, spare parts, consumables and investments related to the maintenance area, promoting resource optimization.

• Provide technical support for modifications and improvement projects through technical documentation, CAD design and improvement proposals.

What are we looking for?

• Education: Higher Technician Diploma in Industrial Mechatronics or a related field.

• Additional training in robotics and industrial automation will be considered an asset.

• Previous experience in industrial maintenance within demanding manufacturing environments and with complex industrial equipment.

• Experience leading or coordinating technical teams.

• English: Upper-intermediate level or above.
