Job description

We are seeking a Procurement Manager. The role sits within a highly international environment, supplying critical components to sectors such as oil & gas, wind energy, mining, and maritime industries.

The position reports directly to the local Operations Director, with a functional reporting line to Corporate Procurement, reflecting both local responsibility and alignment with global strategy. 

Job requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the procurement team and collaborate cross-functionally (2 people).

  • Negotiate complex contracts and manage supplier relationships.

  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks.

  • Offering operational support to the team when necessary.

  • Improve purchasing costs, product quality, and on-time delivery.

  • Defining short-, medium-, and long-term plans, projects, and objectives in line with the company and corporate strategy.

  • Monitor KPIs and report to local and corporate management.

  • Drive continuous improvement and investment initiatives.

  • Act as a key decision-maker and participate in business visits (travel required).

 Candidate Profile

  • Experience At least 10 years in procurement, ideally within industrial or metal-related environments; prior experience in a managerial role is highly valued.

  • Technical Background: Degree in Engineering (Industrial Organization or similar preferred).

  • Procurement Expertise: Strong background in strategic procurement, supplier management, and negotiation.

  • Languages & Tools: High level of English is mandatory; knowledge of SAP is a plus.

  • Additional Knowledge (Nice to Have): MBA or equivalent management training, and familiarity with metallurgy or the iron & steel sector.
